Australia Has A$2.316 Billion Trade Surplus
(RTTNews) - Australia had a seasonally adjusted merchandise trade surplus of A$2.316 billion in October, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said on Thursday - down 21 percent on month.
That was shy of expectations for a surplus of A$3.00 billion and down from the downwardly revised A$2.940 billion in September (originally A$3.017 billion).
Exports were up 1.0 percent on month to A$38.045 billion, while imports climbed 3.0 percent to A$35.729 billion.
