Thailand Manufacturing PMI Slips Into Contraction

(RTTNews) - The manufacturing sector in Thailand fell into contraction in November, the latest survey from IHH revealed on Monday with a manufacturing PMI score of 49.3.

That's down from the neutral reading of 50.0 in October, and it moves beneath the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.

Individually, there were declines in output, new orders and employment - as well as the deepest fall in new export orders in three years.

Business confidence fell to its lowest reading since September 2018.
