India Economy Expands 7.4%
(RTTNews) - India's economy logged a faster growth in the March quarter, data from the National Statistics Office showed on Friday.
Gross domestic product grew by more-than-expected 7.4 percent on a yearly basis in the March quarter, which was better than the revised 6.4 percent expansion seen in the previous quarter.
GDP was forecast to grow 6.7 percent. Moreover, the latest expansion was the strongest in four quarters.
In the financial year 2024-25, the economy expanded 6.5 percent compared to the 9.2 percent growth logged in the previous year.
Earlier, the government had pegged India's economic growth at 6.5 percent.
