The objective of the investment policy ofthe fund is to achieve an above average return. To achieve that goal fund management is focusing on different DWS alpha sources. Meaning, that fund management aims at generating alpha by stock selection in the European large cap equity as well as in the small/mid cap equity segment. In addition, alpha can be generated by the use of derivatives also allowing to benefit from falling stock prices. The sub-fund follows an unconstrained investment approach and invests with greater weighting on single positions that might result in less diversification as well as a potentially large performance deviation from its benchmark.
