Cabot Microelectronics Q4 Profit Increases

(RTTNews) - Cabot Microelectronics Corp. (CCMP) Thursday reported an increase in fourth quarter net income available to shareholders to $26.43 million from $20.58 million in the prior year. On a per share basis, earnings increased to $1.03 from $0.83 a year ago. On an adjusted basis, earnings were $1.07 per share.

On average, 4 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.87 per share. Analysts estimates usually exclude special items.

Revenue for the quarter climbed 11.5 percent to $136.78 million from $122.68 million last year. Wall Street was looking for $132.18 million.
