The Xtrackers Physical Carbon EUA ETC security is backed by a direct investment in the underlying Carbon EUA. The issuer has direct and sole ownership of the Carbon EUA which is held in an EU ETS Union Registry account. Each physical ETC security entitles the holder to a specified quantity of Carbon EUA (the “Carbon EUA Entitlement”) of the Carbon EUA pool owned by the issuer. The value of the security is a function of the Carbon EUA Entitlement, the reference carbon spot price less any applicable product fees. Xtrackers Physical Carbon EUA ETCs combines the advantages of physical Carbon EUA ownership, e.g. exposure to Carbon EUA spot prices and minimal counterparty exposure, with the liquidity, transparency and ease of execution typical of exchange traded products. Settlement of the ETCs will be in cash on the secondary market and no physical EUAs will be delivered to securityholders in the secondary market i.e. to securityholders that are not Authorized Participants.
