RedHill Commences Dosing In Supplementary Pharmacokinetic Study With RHB-102

(RTTNews) - RedHill Biopharma Ltd. (RDHL) reported that it had commenced dosing in the first of two supplementary pharmacokinetic studies with RHB-102, a patent protected, oral, extended-release formulation of ondansetron. The company expects the results will be available by October 2013. RedHill also said it plans to submit a New Drug Application seeking U.S. marketing approval of RHB-102 in the first quarter of 2014, earlier than previously planned.

Ondansetron is the active ingredient in GlaxoSmithKline's Zofran immediate release tablets for the prevention of radiotherapy induced nausea and vomiting and chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting.
