Cicor wins an important contract from a leading European A&D equipment provider

Bronschhofen, 18 August 2025 – The Cicor Group (SIX Swiss Exchange: CICN) has secured an important purchase order from a top-five European provider of aerospace and defence (A&D) equipment. The advanced substrates will be used for airborne radar systems and manufactured at the Wangs (Switzerland) site.

The initial purchase order has a volume in the mid-single digit million CHF range and will be delivered in 2026. A larger follow-up contract is expected to cover demands for 2027 and thereafter.

This business win confirms Cicor's technological and market leadership in the design and manufacturing of thin-film substrates. The additional sales volume represents ca. 10% of the Advanced Substrates Division's annual sales.

After consolidating the Backnang (Germany) thin film operations end of 2024, the production transfer from Cicor's site in Ulm (Germany) to Wangs (Switzerland) is mostly complete according to plan and production in Ulm has ceased. To prepare for the move, the Wangs site has undergone major improvements, including the installation of a rooftop photovoltaic system covering a portion of the site's electricity requirements.
