(HCAT), a provider of data and analytics technology for healthcare organizations, Monday, announced its acquisition of Upfront Healthcare Services, Inc., a patient engagement platform provider. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter. The transaction is to be funded through a combination of cash and stock. The acquisition aims to combine Upfront's expertise in patient acquisition and scheduling with Health Catalyst's robust patient engagement portfolio, including Twistle Patient Engagement and the Lumeon by Health Catalyst Care Orchestration platform.

This integration seeks to enhance the patient experience by equipping healthcare clients with tools to optimize access, close care gaps, and improve care transitions, aligning with Health Catalyst's mission of enabling data-informed healthcare improvement.

HCAT closed Friday's trading at $6.89 down 6.39 percent or $0.47 on the Nasdaq.
