Shares of C3.ai (NYSE: AI) are falling hard on Monday, down 25.4% as of 2:33 p.m. ET. The drop comes as the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite were mostly flat.The artificial intelligence (AI) company is seeing its share price hit after the release of its preliminary numbers for the quarter ending July 31.C3.ai's first-quarter 2026 preliminary numbers showed a net generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) loss of between $124.7 million and $124.9 million on sales of between $70.2 million and $70.4 million, a nearly 20% decline year over year in its top line and 33% below its previous guidance. D.A.
