JetBlue Airways Q3 Loss Widens

(RTTNews) - JetBlue Airways Corp. (JBLU) on Monday reported a wider third-quarter net loss of $257 million, or $0.68 per share, compared with a loss of $143 million, or $0.39 per share, in the year-ago quarter.

The bottom line was weighed down by higher fuel costs weighe. However, operating revenue increased 21.1% to $2.81 billion, driven by stronger yields and resilient travel demand.

Operating expenses rose 22.1% to $2.96 billion, with aircraft fuel costs climbing 61% to $868 million.

For the fourth quarter, JetBlue expects capacity to increase 3%-4% year over year and revenue per available seat mile to rise 18%-22%. For full-year 2026, the company forecasts revenue per available seat mile growth of 13.5%-14.5% and an adjusted operating margin of negative 4.5%-6.5%.
